At least four people were killed and several others injured in an explosion on Sariab Road near Shahwani Stadium in Quetta on Tuesday.
According to police, the nature of the blast is being determined. Rescue and police teams reached the site immediately, while the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex. Hospital sources said some of the wounded are in critical condition.
Balochistan government has ordered an investigation into the incident. The provincial Home Department confirmed that rescue operations are under way, while security forces have cordoned off the area and begun collecting evidence.
A spokesperson for the Home Department said a high-level inquiry has been launched. Citizens have been urged not to pay heed to rumors and to fully cooperate with authorities.
