Muzaffarabad police have arrested a man on charges of spying for India, accusing him of providing sensitive information and photographs of key installations to the enemy country’s intelligence agency.
Suspect identified as Obaid Jahangir
According to police, the suspect has been identified as Obaid Jahangir, a resident of Rawalakot. A case has been registered against him at the Saddar Police Station under the Official Secrets Act.
Allegations in FIR
The text of the FIR states that Obaid Jahangir allegedly passed on pictures of sensitive places and secret information to Indian intelligence. Authorities further revealed that he received large sums of money in exchange for sharing classified material.
Police confirmed that a formal investigation is now underway, and strict legal action will be taken under national security laws.
