Former interim prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said the inclusion of the Baloch Liberation Army’s (BLA) Majeed Brigade in international terrorist lists marks a major blow to India.
Speaking to Samaa TV, Kakar said that the United States has now made it clear that it stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan against these groups.
He added that Pakistan has long presented evidence of Indian interference in Balochistan, and this step confirmed the legitimacy of that stance.
Kakar said India has repeatedly attempted to portray itself as innocent while casting Pakistan as the aggressor. "Recent developments have exposed the reality that India is using terrorism as a strategic tool in the region," he said.
“The inclusion of the Majeed Brigade in terror lists is a slap in the face to Indian diplomacy,” he added.
He described the development as a significant diplomatic success for Pakistan. “This is not just about minerals like gold and copper—Balochistan’s people are its most valuable asset. Their security comes before all else,” he said.
The former interim prime minister also stated that the BLA had been planning to deploy an additional unit of the Majeed Brigade in Balochistan.
Kakar maintained that this recognition by the United States affirms Pakistan’s longstanding claims and shifts the regional narrative against India’s covert activities in Balochistan.
