QUETTA – Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, speaking at the flag-hoisting ceremony in the provincial capital on Thursday, said the enemy had attacked Pakistan’s independence but the armed forces had given a befitting response.
He said political and military leadership had united the nation, and the people of Balochistan were always ready to sacrifice for the country. Bugti vowed the nation would stand like a wall alongside the army.
The chief minister criticized a handful of elements trying to break Pakistan at gunpoint, accusing them of trampling Baloch traditions and killing innocent people. He stressed that the nation must face terrorists with courage and that parliament, religious scholars, and all sections of society must play their role in defeating terrorism.
Meanwhile, in Dera Bugti, an Independence Day rally started from Sangseela Mor and concluded at Pakistan Chowk, drawing large public participation and echoing with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
