The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a 14-hour gas supply suspension in several parts of Karachi on Thursday, August 14, due to pipeline relocation work in the Haroonabad Site area.
Planned shutdown for pipeline shift
According to the SSGC spokesperson, the utility will shift a six-inch diameter main gas line to facilitate the Water Board’s line restoration program. The shutdown will begin at 8am and continue until 10pm on the same day.
Areas affected by gas suspension
Gas supply will remain suspended in the following residential and industrial areas:

Site, Jehanabad, Mianwali Colony, Lashari Mohalla, Metroville

Bawani Chali, Pathan Colony, Old Golimar, Raxer Colony, Hassan Aulia, Muslimabad, Habib Bank

Site Industrial Area, Haroonabad, Gulbai, Mauripur, Tikri Village, Muslim Colony, Javed Bahria, Manora and surrounding localities
Advisory for consumers
"The company apologises for the inconvenience caused to the consumers during this time," said the spokesperson. He urged residents and businesses to make alternative fuel arrangements during the outage.
