A deadly explosion near a security forces vehicle in the Kurdgap area of Mastung has left three personnel, including an officer, martyred and three others injured, according to Levies sources.
The blast, believed to be an improvised explosive device (IED), targeted a vehicle belonging to the Frontier Corps (FC) Quick Response Team.

The attack took place on Tuesday when the FC team was reportedly on routine patrol. Levies officials confirmed that the IED was planted along the roadside and detonated remotely as the security vehicle passed by.
The blast severely damaged the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of three FC members, including a senior officer, and injuries to three other personnel who were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility.
Area sealed off
Following the explosion, police and security forces cordoned off the area, launching a search operation to trace those involved. Bomb disposal teams were also deployed to sweep the vicinity for any additional threats.
