A student from a modest background in Nankana Sahib has secured the third position in the Lahore Board’s matriculation examination.
Faizan Raza - the son of a vegetable vendor - earned 1,186 marks out of 1,200 in the Science Group, securing third position across the Lahore Board.
He studied at a government high school in Shahkot, a town in Nankana Sahib district.
Speaking to Samaa TV the bright young student and his family.
Faizan credited his achievement to the tireless support of his father and his own determination.
“Despite all challenges, my father always motivated me to study. He never let financial difficulties come in the way of my education,” Faizan said.
His father, who sells vegetables to make ends meet, expressed pride in his son’s success.
“We never had much, but I always dreamed of seeing my children succeed. Faizan proved that even a child from a government school can achieve a position with dedication and hard work,” he said, while holding back tears.
