The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of imported Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for the month of July, offering slight relief to consumers amid ongoing energy challenges.
According to the official notification issued by OGRA:
-
The price for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has been reduced by 21 cents, bringing the new rate to $11.57 per MMBTU, down from $11.78 in June.
-
For Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the price has been cut by 29 cents, setting the new tariff at $10.57 per MMBTU, compared to $10.86 in June.
This translates to a percentage reduction of 1.72% to 2.68%, depending on the region.
The price revisions reflect fluctuations in global LNG markets and are part of OGRA's monthly adjustments in line with import contracts and international price trends.
