The weather in Karachi turned pleasant on Tuesday with overcast skies as the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted above-normal monsoon rains for the city this year.
Deputy Director Anjum Nazir Zaigham said the second spell of monsoon showers is expected to begin from July 8, bringing light rain to the city.
Residents have welcomed the relief from the recent heat, but authorities are preparing for potentially heavier rains that could impact urban areas.
