The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks, including the SBP and its branch offices, will remain closed to the public on Tuesday, July 1, in observance of the annual bank holiday.
In a circular issued on Friday, the central bank stated that the holiday is being observed in accordance with the close of the financial year, which ends on June 30. Although banks will be closed to the public, staff members will remain on duty to complete internal year-end processes and settlements.
“All commercial banks and SBP offices will remain closed on July 1, 2025 (Tuesday),” the circular read. “The closure is necessary to facilitate the completion of accounts and financial reporting at the end of the fiscal year.”
The SBP clarified that banks will open as usual on Monday, June 30, ahead of the routine weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
