The Pakistan national hockey team's participation at the FIH Pro League hinged on the allocation of funds.
Sources divulged on Thursday that if the incumbent government greenlights the allocation of the funds, then the Green Shirts will participate in the mega-event.
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has started to review the matter following the instructions of the adviser to the prime minister, Rana Sanaullah.
It is pertinent to note that International Hockey Federation has given the three-day deadline for the confirmation of Pakistan's participation in the forthcoming event.
On the other side, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary said, "The expenses for ensuring the participation at the FIH Pro League are too much."
He hoped that the premier would help the federation in this regard.
