The Sindh government has earmarked Rs6.15 billion in the provincial budget for sports and youth affairs for reflecting focus on youth development and recreational activities.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, a total of 19 new sports schemes have been included in the budget, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and promoting athletic participation across the province.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation has been allocated a grant of Rs100 million, showing continued support for the revival of national sports.
An amount of Rs150 million has been set aside for the Sindh Games, while Rs300 million has been allocated for various sporting activities throughout the province.
To support street children’s participation in sports, the budget includes an allocation of Rs50 million.
In addition, Rs1 billion has been reserved specifically for youth affairs, and another Rs1 billion has been allocated for broader youth development initiatives.
