Earthquake tremors measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale were felt in Chaman, a district in Balochistan near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
According to the earthquake monitoring centre, the tremors originated at a depth of 11 kilometres, with the epicentre located 15 kilometres southeast of Chaman.
Authorities have reported no loss of life or property damage caused by the earthquake.

Separately on Thursday, light tremors were felt in several areas of Karachi during the early hours of Thursday, causing panic among residents though no casualties or damage were reported.
According to the National Seismological Centre, the earthquake occurred at 1:44 am and had a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was located in the Malir area, with a depth of 10 kilometres.
