The Sindh government is set to unveil its provincial budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 in the Sindh Assembly on June 13, with a development outlay of Rs600 billion allocated across 57 departments and autonomous bodies, sources confirmed.
According to details shared by sources privy to the budget planning, the Sindh Development Committee has already approved the proposed allocations following extensive consultations.
Key sectoral allocations

Education:
The government has proposed Rs83 billion for school education, Rs7 billion for college education, and Rs8 billion for university boards. -
Health and Social Protection:
The health sector is set to receive more than Rs47 billion, while Rs12 billion has been earmarked for social protection programs aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. -
Agriculture and Energy:
The agriculture department is expected to get Rs13 billion out of a Rs14 billion proposal, and over Rs15 billion has been approved for the energy department. Thar Coal infrastructure development will receive over Rs12 billion. -
Local Government and Mega Projects:
The Local Government Department has been allocated Rs130 billion, and the Karachi Mega Project is slated to receive Rs12 billion for urban development and infrastructure upgrades. -
Transport and Infrastructure:
Rs57 billion has been proposed for the transport department, and Rs139 billion has been allocated to the Works and Services Department to enhance road, bridge, and public infrastructure projects. -
Irrigation and Water Resources:
A substantial Rs96 billion allocation has been approved for the Irrigation Department, underlining the province’s focus on water management and agricultural sustainability. -
