Karachi experienced earthquake tremors once again on Sunday, during the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
According to reports, the tremors were felt in the Malir area and had a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the quake occurred at 3:35 AM, with the epicentre located approximately four kilometres south-east of Malir.
Meanwhile, tremors were also reported in and around the Ormara region. The Seismological Centre stated that the earthquake in that area measured 3.1 in magnitude, with a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface. Its epicentre was recorded 118 kilometres south-east of Ormara.
According to the PMD, no immediate reports of loss of life or property damage were received from either incident.

Earlier on June 5, mild tremors were once felt in the Malir area of Karachi, with the earthquake measuring a magnitude of 2.0 on the Richter scale.
According to the Seismic Monitoring Centre, Karachi experienced another minor earthquake tremor. The quake had a depth of 40 kilometres and was recorded at 7:54 AM.
The epicentre was located approximately 11 kilometres northeast of Malir. Since June 1, a total of 29 tremors have been recorded in the region.
