Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti on Thursday said that Fitna-ul-Hindustan has no connection with Balochistan.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, CM Bugti said: “I term these individuals as RAW-funded. Fitna-ul-Hindustan was responsible for the martyrdom of innocent children in Khuzdar. Do not associate Fitna-ul-Hindustan with the Baloch identity. These elements are involved in the killing of Punjabis.”
He added: “The people of Balochistan have made it clear that there is no affiliation with Fitna-ul-Hindustan. The nation should not practise double standards.”
Praising the performance of the security forces, CM Bugti stated: “There is no doubt about the capabilities of our security forces.”
He maintained: “It is often claimed that force has been used in Balochistan for the past 70 years. I ask — where exactly has force been used?”
He said that only targeted operations were being carried out in the province, adding: “There is no need for a large-scale military operation in Balochistan.”
Emphasising political engagement, the chief minister said: “Political dialogue continues to take place in Balochistan.”
CM Bugti said: "Apart from attacks on military installations in Bela, terrorists are also targeting soft civilian targets."
“Terrorists have attacked security personnel who were on leave,” he said.
He said: “We are working on enhancing the capacity of the police.”
The CM stated: “Two months ago, a decision was made that no highways in Balochistan would be closed.”
“Every citizen has the right to protest, and the constitution grants the state the right to manage such situations,” he said, adding that some mobs are linked to separatist groups.
“The state will not compromise on its writ,” CM Bugti stressed.
CM Bugti said: “26 people were martyred in the Jaffar Express attack; women and children were taken hostage.”
He condemned political exploitation of the situation: “Some have begun politicising the bodies of slain terrorists. An attack was even carried out on the hospital to retrieve these bodies.”
On development, CM Bugti announced: “In this budget, the Balochistan government is allocating Rs200 billion for youth development.”
“Young people will be offered various skills training courses,” he maintained.
