The security forces swiftly responded to terrorists who stormed at DI Khan police station on Wednesday.
An exchange of fire continued between terrorists and police. A heavy contingent of police and security forces left for Kolachi.

Earlier, on September 15, security forces intercepted militants in the Abdul Khel area between Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). As per media reports, no loss were reported so far, however, firing and explosions heard in the area.
It is pertinent to note that at least 10 terrorists, including their ringleader, were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted on the reported presence of terrorists in the general area Pezu of Tank district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the armed forces and terrorists.
