In one case, the judge said that the “real and collective grief of Southport residents was hijacked” and that these individuals “damaged Liverpool’s honour and reputation”.
The judge added that those who knowingly participate in such riots that harm society and create fear will inevitably be punished. Such individuals will be handed down punishments designed to prevent others like them from similar activities.
Those involved in the riots have been sentenced to three years rigorous punishment by the Liverpool Crown Court. The UK is not only a developed country but also has an organized judicial system.
