Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Hashim Kakar has said that the biggest problem in the province is missing persons, mutilated bodies are found, and women are killed in the name of honour, but he will not remain silent over these issues.
The CJ said he would dispose of pending cases as soon as possible.
The Quetta Bar Association organised an event in honour of the appointment of the chief justice and the retirement of Justice Nazir Langove.
Speaking at the ceremony, the chief justice said that during his tenure, pending cases would be disposed of quickly.
Justice Hashim Kakar said that missing persons are the biggest problem in Balochistan, mutilated bodies of local children are found in Balochistan, while youths of the province go missing and their families do not even know about their whereabouts.

Innocent people were killed in the name of honour, Justice Kakar said, adding that he would not remain silent over these issues in the province. He stressed that 300 women were killed in Naseerabad on false charges in the name of honour.
He said that 20 incomplete buildings were found on the roadside in Mangocher tehsil of Kalat, and after 2014, no work was carried out on them while Rs2 billion was spent so far.
The Chaman Master Plan Project had incurred Rs1.79 billion comprising 550 shops, cold storage, warehouses, a bus stand, truck stand and an international-style vegetable market. “When the person who started the project came to power, the work was stopped. It is not a private property of anyone, it is public money,” he stressed.
He added that the additional chief secretary had been ordered to implement the projects in a month. He also said that after 10 days, he would visit Chaman and, after 15 days, Mangocher.
“I want to see the implementation of these two projects. I will never be negligent about the solution of the problems the country was faced with,” he declared.
